Dear Professor Stephen J. Toope,

It concerns me greatly that Srdjan Trifkovic who actively promotes the denial of the dreadful genocide that occurred in Srebrenica has been invited to speak at the prestigious University of British Columbia on February 24th, 2011.

I find it hard to understand how a hate monger and genocide denier was invited to speak at your university. The crimes against humanity committed at Srebrenica have been recognized by the International Court of Justice, International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia and Government of Canada. I hope you will keep in mind that the 8000 boys and men who were systematically murdered by Serbian troops no longer have a voice to stand up for justice.

I hope you will be that voice of reason for those who lie buried in the ground, and stand up for their human rights and deny Srdjan Trifkovic a podium for his message.

I thank you for your attention and trust that you will do the right thing for those who lost their lives in Srebrenica’s genocide.
